I have a 630 Eurosit that is about four years old. Yesterday one of our propane lines was cut by accident by an excavator. We shut the gas off and had our propane co. come and repair it. When we broke the line I also turned the valve down on our AGA in anticipation of the gas later coming on. After the gas co. repaired the line the technician came in to light the Aga. I was not aware of this, but came in when he was in the process of lighting it. He said he had found the little black ignition button with the red flame on it broken off and the spring to the ignitor popped up. Have no idea how this happened as it was totally in tact when I had turned the valve down. He did manage to get the stove lighted. About an hour or so later I turned it up a bit and it seemed fine. This morning I awoke to a cold AGA. I turned the valve back to the ignition stop and attempted to light it myself using a fireplace hand held propane wand but to no avail. Furthermore the valve will not turn past the flame lighting icon. I don't remember this being the case in the past, but is it possible that it doesn't turn until it is lit? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

630 Eurosit 0630545 ventless fireplace

It is possible that your 630 Eurosit 0630545 needs a deep cleaning or a replacement part. The loud poof sound could be caused by a buildup of dirt and debris in the burner or a faulty part. You should contact a qualified technician to inspect the unit and determine the cause of the issue.

What kind of remote control will work for SIT 630 Eurosit propane gas valve?

It is a mechanical valve, not electronic. If you have a fireplace with an electronic remote, you need a remote for the fireplace not the valve.

Can you replace just the thermocouple on a eurosit 630 gas valve

In most case the thermocouple is a separate part and not part of the gas valve .

How do I remove a bypass screw from a 630 eurosit gas valve to put in new valve

you are in the motorcycle section, but as the side of the unit says, not field serviceable. get a new one if your old one is broken. please do not risk you and/or your family's life trying to repair gas equipment you are not trained to repair.

630 Eurosit 0630535 gas fireplace pilot wouldn't stay on what needs replaced...

I'm in the middle of this right now. Y'all don't know what you're talking about. The thermocouple you can buy at the local hardware store has a different thread (fine) from the Eurosit TC (coarse) and doesn't fit. Now I'm trying to source a Eurosit TC. Any suggestions?

Honeywell propane furnace. Ran out of propane last night. Refilled this morning. Has automatic pilot. Heat will not go on. Is there air in my lines? How would I purge the lines??

You will need to cut off power
find the gas shut off at your unit and cut off.
Loosen the fitting after the cut off and open the cut off slowly until you smell gas. re tighten and turn gas and power back on.

Gas stove

Make sure the fitting on the tank where your line comes from isn't freezing up. I don't know about large propane tanks but they might have the new safety valve in the shut off valve in your tank as well. Trying shutting off or if you don't feel safe maybe somebody else shut the valve off then reopening it.
