Question about Whirlpool 30" Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Range - White-on-White
The glow you see is the ignitor coming on. It is probably not drawing enough amperage to allow the gas valve to open. You will want to replace the ignitor to resolve this issue.
You will need to remove the oven bottom to access the ignitor and replace it.
