Inverters use square wave voltage, which tends to stifle digital circuits. Leaving something stuck, or not working. Sure, the inverter will work for awhile, but then the rigid square wave eventually causes problems.

Maybe try cleaning the battery contacts on the netbook. If it happens with both batteries, then it may just be bad contact between the battery and the laptop. An emery board, or a small piece of fine sandpaper can be used to clean the contacts on the netbook. Clean both sides of the contacts - do it gently as you don't want to sand down the metal, you just want to clean off any oxidization or corrosion on the terminals. If this doesn't help, it may be a bad charging circuit on the board (new netbook). You could also try charging with a different a/c adapter and see if the problem persists.

Hope this helps!

Sometimes, batteries tend to show charge but they are not completely charge. Reason is that they have got weakened and needs to be recharged properly.

For this, I would recommend you to use Nicad Battery Repair Manual. It would charge the crystals inside the battery completely and make them work like the new ones. Hope it would be useful for you. Take care.

Are you turning it off at night or just using sleep mode? Turn it off!

Also if you use them on AC power most of the time the batteries tend to hold less and less of a charge as time go's by. You should use them on and off with just battery till it's almost dead, it will hold a better charge then.

See if there is someone with a Hero and try their battery out. It sounds like your battery is not holding its charge anymore. If you just got it, take it back to the store and see if you can get a replacement.

Good luck.

Canon 300d flash won't fire. Pops up ok but display just reads "busy" and camera locks up. Must turn on/off to get camera working. External flash works ok.

This may sound obvious, but have you tried to make surer the battery is fully charged and then see'ing if it still does this? The reason I suggest this is that I had a similar problem and when I fully charged the battery this problem went away. I tend to keep an extra battery (fully charged) plus the charger on hand at all times.
