Hi Guys

The reason you can't use active desktop in windows vista is because it don't have it. Microsoft missed the wagon when they was re-designing windows. They forgot to make the back backdrop feature read GIF and HTML formats. In which is needed to run active desktop. They made it only read jpeg anf bit map real swift Micro real swift. This is because Microsoft enginers are hell bent on thinking that all window users only have the need for viewing picture and videos and the heck with the rest. yes microsoft is picture and video happy. Thats why they diden;t ad the ability for any other formats viewing. except for its browser. Real swift Micro real swift.....

Well, Vista...here's another suggested solution:save the image to your computer... then go to your bootup screen (desktop) and right-click on a black space; select "personalize" then select the "personalize background"; select "browse"; then select your new image. Hope that'll work!

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Dear user,

Unforetunately you cannot do anything to your desktop background because that is the default feature of Windows 7 Starter Edition.
You have to upgrade at least Home Premium of your Operating System for you to change it .

If you're using a .jpg file for your wallpaper you need Active Desktop turned on in order to use the file for your wallpaper.
Opening sysinfo disables Active Desktop temporarily.

Thanks

I HAVE NOT YET DISPLAY WALL PAPER WHEN I SWITCH ON AGAIN

Hi rajkumarbalu

Thanks for you enquiry and sorry to hear you are having problems. Windows Vista removes wallpaper if you have not activated Vista yet. Have you activated your OS (Operating System) yet?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operating_system
If you have activated your OS then use system restore to go back in time.

I hope this helps you and it all works again, please message me if this does not work.

All the best, Phil
