the answer is no. Unfortunately, you cannot bypass the lockout. That's how it was made from the factory. Try any stunt will surely damage something and I'm sure you know how expensive the car is, likewise its parts. Tying to do any bypass will involve loosing of wires and re-connections.
You just have to manage and cope with the situation.
