Tu aparato se esta protegiendo contra un mal mayor ya que los circuitos amplificadores de audio estan quemados por eso se te apaga.

Onkyo TX-NR515 will not stay on

pls. check speaker wires for any open cracks. try the speakers to another amplifier and if it works from there your onkyo must be in trouble. open the unit and check for any blown fuse, if found any replace it w/ the same value, do not replace fuses w/ higher value.

Whenever I turn on my receiver, it stays on for a few seconds, then switches off.

Sound like a semi-component is faulty within the unit you need to get it serviced. Does it indicate any thing on the LCD when powering up before it dies ?

Plugged into outlet. Spark. When powered up,

First, try plugging a lamp into the socket and see if that works. Next, plug the receiver into a different outlet and see if you have the same problem. Usually, when a receiver shuts down after a few seconds, the problem is a shorted output transistor causing the system to go into auto-protect. A blown transistor may be caused by speaker wires touching at either end. Just a stray strand of wire can be enough to cause real problems.

Won't turn on.standby light on,fuse under cover is good.what next? onkyo tx-sr605

The only thing to test would be to disconnect all speaker wires at the receiver then turn it back on. If it still won't turn on, it's an internal power supply issue and will need service. If it turns on, post a comment and I can walk you thru further troubleshooting. Hope this helps

System Protect mode after a Flash fire.

The flash probably was a small resistor burning. While not particualrly common, it does happen. The output transistors are shorted and need to be replaced. If the same channel is bad as the first time, there is a possability that the unit was not completely repaired. Some shops only change the shorted transistor within the transistor pair. This is poor practice and usually leads to another failure of the same channel Check your previous invoice for the parts replaced. The entire complimentary pair of output transistors should have been replaced. If only 1 iof the 2 were replaced, you may have an argument for a warranty repair.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

Onkyo AV Receiver turning off - by its self.

The space you have provided should be enough. If this is a new unit and still under warranty, I would request warranty service. It sounds like the unit is entering protect mode. This may be due to heat or it could be because of a defect in the protect circuit. In any case, this should not happen that quickly.

Update this if not under warranty and I'll provide a list of diagnostic tests to help determine the problem.

My Onkyo Receiver TX 601 is turning itself off

Several things can cause this: Loud signal passages can momentarily draw high currents at the mains, especially if you have unit plugged into power stripe with other equipment. Or if unit is plugged into isolation transformer, current draw may exceed output of transformer. Too many speakers hooked to output or if one is bad (partially shorted due to overheating)
