Pull the battery out immediately, drop it in a glass(not the battery) of 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol, shake the bubbles out, remove from glass and let dry for 24 hours in a cool dry place.

I dropped my phone is water, and i took i apart ASAP. i dried it with a hair...

Take it out of the water and remove the battery. Then put the battery in dry rice and cover it overnight. The rice sucks out all the water and you should be ready to go. It worked for me.

Dropped my samsung eternity in water

You phone needs to be taken apart and dried out. You probably shorted the battery, it will need to be replaced. If it got really wet, boards start to corrode and phone may not be fixable. Every connection on phone needs to be taken apart and dried, hopefully your phone will work again. Sometimes I get them to work again, and sometimes I don't. Good Luck

Dropped phone in water for about 2 sec and pulled it apart right way and let it dry can it be fixed

Did you dry the phone completely? If not here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the phone: Dry the phone, battery, any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs.

Dropped phone in water for about 2 sec and pulled it apart right way and let it dry, can it be fixed

Hi,

problem can be solved. When a phone drops into water the water stays inside the phone. When the water dries insid the board of the phone, it might bridge two IC together and cause demage or makes the phone to act in a strange way.

In order to remove the water from the phone the phone needs to be serviced for it to work properly.

Get a screw driver that can loosen the screws on the phone, unscrew and remove the board of the phone, get a methylated spirit and a brush to clean the board in other to remove the water inside the phone.

After brushing the board, leave it to dry for 10 minutes and fix it back into the phone and the phone will be back to live.

NOTE: if you can lose the phone , i would advice you take it to a mobile engineer to fix it for you in other to cause further damage to the phone.

Have a nice day.

Dropped phone in water now phone will not turn on

Take the phone apart and slowly dry. I droped my phone in the lake and dryed on the dash of my vehicle for a day or two. then turned on the phone. Never try to power up a wet phone, let it dry COMPLETLY first. Good luck.

Dropped my phone in sink of water

You may have caused a short in the device. Basically once your cellphone is exposed to water, the best solution would be to IMMEDIATELY remove the battery, and place the device in a bowl of rice. The rice serves to absorb the moisture, and within a day, should restore your phone :D.

It doesn't hurt to take it apart and dry it by hand though, but by trying to use a non-dry phone you may have to get a new one.
