My dryer will begin a cycle and less than a minute into it, it stops, chimes three times, and on the display screen, says "to." It does not turn off, or continue drying. How can I fix it?

t0 means that one of the thermistors have failed and needs to be replaced. There are 2 of them and it is recommended that they be replaced together. Good luck.

We are getting the code E1 on are Duet Dryer can you tell me the problem

HI, This code is in reference to the thermistor that is mounted on the blower housing inside the unit. The unit will not operate properly when the E1 code is active. The necessary actions are to replace the internal monitoring thermistor. Once that is replaced, the unit will return to its normal status.

Yes it could but i would suggest checking the crank position sensor as it will not throw check engine codes. Also go to an auto store and have them pull the codes for you for free.

Anyone know what code t0 means? Dryer will start but never finish drying clothes regardless what cycle you're on.

To = Thermistor Open error.

The Thermistor resistance is very high.

Check for:
- Clogged lint screen.
- Restricted vent system.
- Check Thermistor resistance.

Replace themistor if out of range.

On a kenmore dryer Elite modle #11071062000 i am getting an error code "E2" can you tell me what this means? Can you tell me how to fix it? The dry runs but will not ignite.

The E1 displayed indicates the thermistor is open and needs to be replaced.

The connections can be loose but the most likely cause of an E1 error is a bad thermistor.

The dryer will not operate if the exhaust temperature drops below 18 degrees F. or exceeds 250 degrees F.

If you're comfortable and confident in your do-it-yourself skills and have access to a volt/ohm meter you can check and replace this part yourself.

The thermistor is available from the following: www.searspartsdirect.com

Enter your model # in the appropriate box to get a full parts break-down and diagrams.

To access the thermistor see the image below.

Remember to unplug the dryer from power first.

The thermistor will have a black and red/white wire on it.

You can check continuity across it with the meter and if the circuit is open then the thermistor needs to be replaced.

When the thermistor circuit is open (>50K ohms), the error code E1 flashes in the display.

When the thermistor circuit is shorted (

Normal thermistor resistance values:
60 degrees F. - 15.3K ohms.
70 degrees F. - 11.9K ohms.
80 degrees F. - 9.2K ohms.

The thermistor -may- check ok when cool and freak out when warm!
