Question about Motorola Mobility H710 Bluetooth Headset

2 Answers

I paired my H710 with my lg Chocolate touch and the phone recognized it and it seemed to be connected. I haven't used it for a while and when I try to connect it says that communication failed. I have been trying to re-pair the two but I can't get the purple light to light up. It only blinks blue. I tried turning the phone off and on and the H710 off and on but still couldn't get the purple light. Help!!!!

To put your headset again in pairing mode, you must assure that your phone's bluetooth radio is turned off. Only then, open your headset's boom. After it is in pairing mode, turn your phone's bluetooth radio on, and make it search for new devices.
Hope it works for you.
Regards, Carlos

I have the LG Chocolate Touch and your solution did not work. I turned both off. Turned the bluetooth on in pairing mode. Then I turned on my phone, followed the directions and my bluetooth was not found. What did I do wrong?

I am having problems pairing my LG Chocolate Touch Cellular Phone with the platronics explorer 230. What is the pairing code.

In the headset, try to enter into the pairing mode ( keep hold the power button few sec).
On your cell phone, look for your bluetooth device menu. try to lookup devices.
when the cell phone finds the headset, press the code 0000 ( four zero's..).
Then, remember to keep to enable automatic connection, in order to not have to enter the code next time you use the headset.

The bluetooth may not be compatible with the LG Chocolate Touch, Some bluetooths are touchy about phones, and some phones are touchy about bluetooths. Just check the capabilities of your bluetooth device and make sure it is compatible with your LG Chocolate touch.

My H710 will only connect to my htc smartphone if I go into the bluetooth setup and select the device. otherwise when I open the h710, the phone indicates it is paired but not connected. for hte first...

i find that it will take my phone awhile if at all to connect to my headset if I turn on the headset first. Headset off turn on bluetooth in the phone, wait a bit, say a minute then turn on the headset. As for the H710 you can probably get the manual from their website to try reconnecting it.

Will a Motorola H710 Universal Bluetooth Headset work with a LG Scoop/UX-260? For now my answer seems to be no. :(

as long as your LG has bluetooth the anser is yes. Hold all three buttons down for 10 sec. It will go blue. you can now pair the devices. Just make sure to check the setting in the phone and make sure the bluetooth is set to discovery.

Trying to pair my new H710 Motorola headset with my LG shine AT&T cell phone. Doing everything right and just not working

Depending on the phone... try and remove the current bluetooth device. Close the headset. Go to thephone and choose discover, or search. Open the headset and press and hold the big button. It should then turn purple and should be recognized. After this, it will ask for a passcode.

Also make sure the battery on theheadset is charged before doing this.

The passkey will be 0000, four zeros.

H710 blutooth setup problem

Try the same thing, but manually hold the boom arm in the fully open position. Seems like these units may have a faulty switch that fails to recognize when the boom arm is open or closed.

Motorola h710 will not stay connected to my lg scoop

Try manually holding the boom arm open on the H710. Seems like the mechanism on these units for recognizing when the arm is open/closed is a little faulty.

have you gone through the pairing process? Also make sure your old phone is turned off when you pair the new one.
If you need pairing instructions, a video on H710 headset might help you - it should be pretty similar. The video is on www.HandBookLive.com under Electronics category (Motorola Bluetooth headset H710).
