My sewing machine will not make decorative stitches?

Is it an embroidery only machine. Typically embroidery is done with the needle in a fixed position while the hoop is moved around.

Fix button won't work in embroidery mode

Just to make sure you know what "Fix" does in Embroidery Mode - you press it before you start your embroidery then when you press Start, the machine will baste a square or rectangle the size of your embroidery before moving back to the centre ready to start the actual embroidery. It is not used to Fix stitches in embroidery mode (like it does in regular sewing mode) and it must be used before the embroidery is begun if you want the basting. Is this problem you have? It will not do the baste stitch?

After a few stitches my machine quits

The problem you are having is with the sensor on the top tension unit. There is a sensor that registers the movement of the spring which lets the machine know that it's sewing. When the spring either sticks or the sensor moves out of position because of vibration, the machine "thinks" that the top thread is broken. The machine needs to be taken apart and the top tension spring checked to see if it still has enough pressure to return to it's starting position, or to see if the sensor is in it's correct position. A trip to your service tech is required

Husqvarna Rose embroidery unit stopping mid picture.

Could be the design you're trying to stitch out is eroded. Try rewriting the design to the card and see if that helps. If not, take your machine along with the embroidery unit, peddle, hoops, etc. to your tech for a once over. It may just need an adjustment.

#1 Viking Embroidery #13 Set.

Use any card that has the On/Off in the bottom right og the card (1). You have to know what number is you design so you can push that number after selecting on/off. Make sure you programmed emb card is in the machine. You can use another card if you do not have the generic numbered card with on/off and the hoop positioning E on the right side of the numbers 1 to 35 designs.

#1 Viking Embroidery #13 Set.

Turn machine off, install embroidery unit, card and button pad. Turn on the machine, press the "on" button on the keypad to turn on the embroidery unit. Select the design that you want to stitch using the keypad, thread the colors in order from the list in the book, change colors when the machine stops and prompts for the next color.
