Hi LONGLEY632. It sounds like you’re in the need of your mixer’s parts list. It provides ‘reasonable’ exploded views of the various components of your mixer. Enough so that you can disassemble, identify parts and reassemble your mixer.
You can download a PDF version from the KA website at: http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/home.
Click on Customer Care>Locate Manuals & Guides> then enter the visitor type “Consumer” and the 6 character model number, in your case use KSM90P, in the Model Number box. Select one the files listed for your model that appears under Parts List (16): KSM90PSWH0.pdf (354.08 KB) and save that file to your PC. Check to verify this matches your mixer model.
Good luck! I hope this helps. Howard, Burke, VA

Head won't lock

It sounds like the latch, link & lever assembly need to be replaced, it does require taking apart the mixer, but is a fairly easy fix.

Here is a link to the replacement part: http://www.mendingshed.com/24452-2.html

And also here is a link to the service manual: http://ep.yimg.com/ty/cdn/mendingshed/kitchenaidservicemanual.pdf

Page 15 will specifically talk about replaceing that assembly.

Kitchenaid mixer on high all the time

I think that the mechanical speed control is stuck. Unless you are not afraid to take the mixer apart, you will need to take it toa shop or return it to the store for another one.

There is oil leaking into the bowl from the head, right where the beater attaches. I noticed it when the whole area was dripping with brown liquid. Can I fix this myself?

Yes you can. Here's the link to an exploded diagram, and parts list.
You'll need to disassemble the mixer down to the bad part, order and replace the defective piece and reinstall it. I always recommend getting the exploded diagram first as it makes the process much easier, especially for the first time.

I have a 600 watts stand mixer, one time i put too much flowers and it just stop mixing in the middle and making the loud jam noise. now it won't complete the circle and alway jam half-way and stop...

It sounds like you have a stripped gear. I, too, had this problem when my bride dropped a wooden spoon into the bowl. You'll need to disassemble the mixer and determine the part(s) that need to be replaced. With a google search for parts for your model, you can not only locate the exact part, but can also get exploded diagrams for your model. Very handy indeed for disassembly/reassembly. I'd get the diagrams first and then determine the parts needed.

Hope that this helps you.

Best regards, --W/D--

KitchenAid 300 Watts KSM90 Ultra Power sparking

Sparking is a safety concern and Kitchenaid will see it as such. I would suggest calling Kitchenaid Customer Service. They are likely to exchange the product, regardless of warranty or age, because of the potential safety concern.

Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

No Problem

This is "middle of the line" Kitchenaid as far as bowl size and motor strength goes. However, it is a great mixer that will probably fit your needs.
