Hello KESUMAN,

Try going to your PC manufacture's website to see if you can down load the driver directly from them.

Sincerely,

Agent Xiong

It sounds like you found a solution elsewhere because you didn't reply to the three people who asked for more information.

You can close this problem if you wish to by saying YES.

Go into your system preferences and have your computer scan for new hardware changes.

If you're using XP:

1) Click on Start
2) Go to Settings
3) Open Control Panel
4) Open System
5) Click on the "Hardware" tab
6) Select Device Manager
7) Click on the 'Action' drop down box at the top and select 'Scan for hardware changes.'

This should detect the connection and automatically reconfigure your local area connection.(In some case it may ask you for your ethernet driver CD)

If you're using Vista or win7 you can just simply search for Device Manager and scan for new hardware. Both will have the same result.

All the Best and Good luck.

Network Connections missing icon. Plus others problems.

XP tags "Local Area Connection #" with your Network Adapter. If you have a built-in LAN, it will take Local Area Conn 1" and when you disabled it and plugged in a new network adapter, it will be named Local Area Conn 2 and so on in that pattern. Your Local Area Connection will only be back when you plug the original Network adapter that XP tagged as Local Area Connection. It is not "variable" where you can choose how to name it.

I have windows vista home premium on my home computer and have been experiencing some internet disruptions. The only two ways I have found to reset the internet connection is (1) unplug my router and then...

In the Control Panel, update the drivers. If still unsuccessful, delete those adapters, restart your workstation and reinstall drivers. Helpful to have another workstation nearby in case you need to download the drivers from the Internet.

I have the card installed and drivers loaded but the card still wont pickup the wireless networks in the area

Maybe the networks are not broadcasting, and are hidden. Also you may not be close enough to them, the most common wireless routers only extend signal 500ft. Test and confirm by visiting a free local wifi hotspot or known broadcasting wireless network.
