Go to prnter and faxes under control panel, look or your printer icon then right click on it, on the dropdown menu select use pritner online and left click on it, make sure printer is connected and turn on, right click back and cancel all documents. then try printng when status says ready and 0 documents pending.
pls dont 4get to rate as Fixya if problem is resolve.
I recently resolved the same problem by going into the Printer and Faxes under Control Panel. Look for the printer icon that shows in offline status. Right click 'Properties' and go to the Ports tab folder. Select the Port IP address in question and click on 'Configure Port' button. Click on the check box next to SNMP [SNMP status enabled] to remove the check mark and to disable the option. Click OK on the Configure Port window. Click Close on the properties window. Hope this helps.
1) Select the Properties of the Printer. (In Vista Right Click Printer > Run As Administrator > Properties)
2) Select the PORTS tab
3) Select the Printer Port (BRN00807710654E or something similar) and select CONFIGURE
4) Change the Printer Name or IP Address to the actual printer IP#
Please Note: This will work better if you set your printer to use a static IP#. Simply select a ip# above the DHCP range of your router. This will stop the printer from ever receiving a different ip# at start up.
I have two printer HP and Epson, the Epson says offline. I have three computers on the same network. Don't know how to change from offline to online. I'm on Vista, both of the other computers are on XP.
Thanks.

looking for an all in one printer, have a cannon pixma mp 500, darn thing started spewing black ink right after the warranty ran out, I am a little jaded with cannon because the last two products i bought from them had nothing but problems. I have an elph 2 camera that broke twice. once under warranty, and then about a year later it broke the same way, must have been a processor problem because the thing was acting all screwy! Anyway i need a good all in one for my home office that also pritns great pictures. Please help!

I have tried the previous solution to no avail. It already says that it is online (rather than offline). I have checked everything and am extremely frustrated.
