I have a Sanyo SU30 projector that has displays a blue-ish tint/color in upper middle of the screen. Sometimes the area is larger than other times. Replaced the bulb but still has same problem.

I agree with Mark Webber, as I had the same problem with a projector. It was probably caused by "burnout" as a menu message box was left sitting for hours , if not days, displayed on the screen. It left a green, almost square area. I took the projector apart and managed to remove the damaged polariser, but when I contacted a service centre to get a replacement part they told me it was not a viable repair for them to do, nor would they supply me with a spare part. real shame, cos i am sure it will be a relatively cheap component. Hope you have better luck than me

This is going to hurt..
You probably have a polarizer failing on one of the LCD panels inside.
There are 3 of these in LCD projectors, red, green, and blue. They all get the light fed into them, that light is then combined and fed through the projection lens.

You will need to contact Sanyo to find a service centre to replace it.

The problem with projectors in general is they don't sell enough of them to stock huge amounts of parts. They normally make up about 2000 units, then keep a 100 or so more that they will strip for parts as needed.

This is why alot of the times if you have a warranty repair close to the end of the warranty you end up with a different model projector sen back that was higher then the previous version.

Purple or magenta dots on centre of screen ,not noticeable at certain times. EMP-TWDI

My first guess is contamination on the lens or the internal LCD itself.
I would clean the lens first, and if that doesn't solve the issue, open the unit and clean the LCD panel.

can you take some pictures of the optics and send them to me ? this could be a circuit fault or a defective run from the manufacture, you will half to identifie whether it is optic or circuit related, try and place a piece of color filter opaque paper between the optics and try to notice the changes on the screen this may give you an indication which element may be faulted, or if it is electronic

Did you check the lens to see if dust or residue may be on the projector. You may need to call a repair technician to open up the screen and look inside

My hitachi cpx 443 lcd projector recently has been projecting blue dots everywhere on the screen, how can I fix this or what is the problem?

How defined are the dots? Is each blue dot limited to the size of a pixel? I suggest you create a 3 slide image in powerpoint ..one slide completely blue, 1 red and one green. then project each image in turn and note what happens with the blue dot. My first thoughts are you have some pixels that are locked. Once that happens if are pretty much stuck with them. Optical it is impossible for a dust on the lens etc to cause them as if the picture is in focus at the screen the dust is way out of the depth of the field, sometimes you can focus the projector so that the point of focus is the lens surface but then the actual content will be way out of focus...none of which has anything to do with your blue dots. Large dot in the middle of the projected display

there is a burned-in spot on the polerizer light filter for the blue lcd. it makes sure the light is blue coming through, that's why it is black on a blue screen, and yellow when the red and green are the only light showing through. it needs to be replaced. pat # PFiLW0213CEZZ.

Dots on projector screen.

if the dots are pixelated, you have an lcd issue (or if you have a dlp, it's a dmd issue). if it's not pixelated, try to focus the lens on them. if you can, it's dust. blow it out with canned air.
