Selective uploading So, i had no trouble uploading ANY of the pictures or videos from the camera to my laptop EXCEPT the two videos i need. they are larger than the others, and when i try to upload them onto my computer, they're both listed as taking up 0 mb of memory, and no program on my computer will open them. i can still play them without problem on the camera itself.

I got an answer. If a file is beyond a certain size you can't download it from the camera. You have to use a separate card reader to get the files.

Go to My Computer and see if you see your camera as a drive or folder. If so, create a folder on your hard drive and name it a name that you will remember. Then open the camera's folder or drive. Select all the images in the camera, copy and paste them to the new folder you created. When you get to face book and select photo and select the option to upload them. Then select the folder contents to upload.

Videos won't upload

Hi there.
Plug the camera into the USB port and wait for the computer to detect it.
When its detected click on my computer/computer, in the list you should see "removable device", click on that and view your files.
Right click on the file you want and select "copy" from the sub menu.
Create a new folder on the desktop and open it, right click in the newly created folder and select "paste", the file should now copy to that folder.
Keep on repeating the process until you have all your files in the new folder.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

Nikon coolpix l10

here is a easier way to view/transfer your videos/pictures.....

if your running Windows Xp or Vista great.

select your menu button on the back of the camera , then Shooting menu, then Set up, scroll down to Interface, then USB, select mass storage. press menu to exit.

turn your camera on after you connect the USB cable to your computer and camera.

a new hardware wizard should be active, Xp & vista provides the drivers and a one time deal. your camera turns into a removable hard drive or like a jump drive.

you can drag & drop the video files easily into a folder .....

make sure you have the latest Quick Time Player to view the videos.

and here is the manual on the Coolpix L10

you can download the free adobe acrobat reader for free also.
