Clean all the paths of the paper. maybe there are some paths are causing the jam. check also all gears on the path. check also the separator pad if it is worn out.

Kyocera FS 4000 DN printer stops printing for no reason.

Try the feed tires in the tray first. More than likely the paper is not being picked up and causing jam message. The separation roller also has a hub on it to prevent a second sheet from feeding. Sometimes these start to lock up ,a little oil on the hub sometimes relieves some of the tension.

My laserjet 1020 develops a paper jam after printing the first page of a multipage print instruction .I have deleted the printer and re-installed it including all drivers but problem still...

Hi,
Reinstalling the printer is related the Software.
If the paper gets physically jammed than its the driver setting issue or hardware issue.
Check if two sheets get jammed or only one sheet.
If it is two sheets than printer is picking up multiple sheets and paper gets jammed.
If the printer is jamming a single sheet than remove the Tray and look there is rubber roller inside if there are marks or lines on that rubber roller or if the roller roller is worn out than that rubber roller called as paper pickup roller need to be replaced.
If that looks fine than try to priny using manual feed and if the problem persists from manual feed too than try another toner cartridge
If the problem is not from Manual feed Tray that Replace the main Tray with known good Tray and check if the issue resolved.

Ricoh AP3800C "Output tray full"

Check the little black piece of plastic that senses the printed page exiting the machine. Our sensor was stuck and I was getting the same message (an similar Ricoh product). When I gently reset the black piece to center, moving freely, printing worked again. I think the sensor got jammed up when we were trying to remove a bad paper misfeed.

Ricoh manuals very confusing on this error message. They refer to standard tray, tray one, etc. without being clear whether it's a paper feed tray or the so-called "standard OUTPUT tray." The output is not really a tray, it's just the depression where your sheet lands after printing. I wrenched on the paper feed trays and their settings for an hour before I figured out they meant OUTPUT.

Paper feed problem from both tray 1 & 2

There is a long set of sensor flags on the bottom of the paper input unit that can get stuck and not move freely. This will cause jams from both trays. Try unplugging the printer, removing the toner cartridges and tray 2. Turn the printer on its back or side. You will see a long, black plastic bar with flags on it that runs the length of the paper input unit. make sure it moves freely.

Paper jam error after last page prints

Hi Natoli3,
This could be a mis-match of paper sizes. Example, computer could be sending an A4 page to the printer. The paper size in the could be set to Letter. Ensure the 4 paper sizes match, in the computer - the document and printer driver; in the printer (change in control panel) and paper tray (adjust the physical side and length).

Printer Jam - when i put a sheet of Avery labels, printer jams

When you say TOP TRAY, do you mean a paper drawer, or the BYPASS TRAY? If the labels won't feed into the bypass but bond paper does, check to see if your labels are made for inkjet printers. Go to www.avery.com and contact Avery customer support to see what product they recommend for your MFC. Labels made for plain paper printers sometimes do not work for inkjets, and vice-a-versa.

Hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Printing

Dear jamin4volks;

As per this excerpt from the Oki B4350 User manual:

"FACE UP AND FACE DOWN PRINTING
For face down printing, make sure the rear paper exit tray is closed (the paper exits from the top of the printer). The paper exit bin on the top of the printer stacks printed pages face down, capacity 150 sheets of 20 lb. paper. Pages printed in reading order (page 1 first) will be sorted in reading order (last page on top, facing down).

For face up printing, make sure the face up rear paper exit tray is open and the paper guide is extended if required. In this condition, paper will exit via this path, regardless of driver settings. Paper is stacked in reverse order, capacity 50 sheets of 20 lb. paper.

Always use this tray and the manual feed tray for heavyweight stocks to reduce the possibility of paper jams."

This manual is available at http://my.okidata.com/mandown.nsf/(MOC-B4350)/BE70FCAF93D577E285256E89005052F9?OpenDocument

Hope this helps;

False Paper Jam Error

Make sure the paper tray guides are set against the paper more likely to be the back guide not pushing the paper to the front of the tray. If you have the guides set correctly then place one sheet of paper in the tray and blot some methylated spirits on the leading edge along the page width and close the tray and try printing something.

You will have a jam repeat process 3 or 4 times then open tray and remove paper. Where you soaked the spirits into the paper there should be a grubby mark where the feed roller has rubbed and cleaned. Wipe the tray dry and put fresh paper in then hopefully you will now be able to print. If you cannot then the likely thing is that the paper feed pickup spindle is broken and will need replacing.

Hope this helps you and please rate me
Thanks J
