Disk not recognized...loads, but doesn't
disk not recognized...loads, but doesn't succeed in playing disk, displaying "no disc" and stops disc spinning. What do I need to do to get the Mintek DVA 8700 to recognize discs. I've opened it to see if there was any loose connection, all seem fine. I do know the owner had a center speaker of a surround sound system sitting right on top of it; with two speakers (left of and right of the DVA 8700)on the same shelf as the Mintek DVA 8700. This may have caused a magnetic interference or the vibrations may have broken something on one of the circuit boards causing a lack of response to the presence of a disc. Waiting for your response

I had this same problem with my Apex AD-500W DVD Player. I decided
since everyone said the player basically needed to be replaced it
wouldn't hurt to go through the buttons on the remote just to try and
figure it out......I DID!!!! I turned on my DVD Player, inserted a
disc, turned on my tv
and then hit the SYSTEM Button right below the power button until the
screen said MULTI and the machine started working perfectly. There are
3 settings in that button, PAL which made my screen go crazy, NTSC ( i
have no clue) and MULTI(this one made it work)! Hope it also works for
all of you!!!
