I have downloaded the scanner software and driver(full setup) for HP Scanjet 4890. When I go to scan within Solution Centre, I get an HP Scanning error message, stating that it may not be able to scan to the default destination because some of the required software is not available or is not working properly. Whe I am directed to download Col 10862, that patch does not work. Any suggestions?

the printer reinstalls everytime i connect it. tried updating the driver that i downloaded from HP website. but the problem has not stopped, and now, the scanner is not working, and i get the 'check the cartidge' message everytime i try printing. though, i have put new original HP cartidges.
