Most people just record over the old ones. You have to buy a bulk degausser to erase them. Read this web page, and it has a link to a degausser. You can also google them to find other ones:

Good luck, and hope this helps.

Erase old videos

Ideally, you'll get a high-powered bulk tape eraser that is designed for video tapes and will work perfectly for audio tapes, as well. An audio tape eraser will work to a point, but usually won't blank them out completely since it doesn't put out a strong enough electromagnetic field to erase videotapes completely. I personally own an old Radio Shack high powered eraser and it works to erase both video and audio, as well as a demagnetizer for old color tv screens (when used at a distance...a bit too strong up close), and demagnetizing screwdrivers (the ones I don't want magnetized, that is). Hope that helps.

How can I erase tape on a Panasonic NV-GS300

You could get yourself a tape eraser machine. The simplest way is to tape over the existing with the lens cap on and no audio input. OR just tape over it.
Note: Most video people recommend around 3 record cycles on a tape for best performance. The more you record/erase the greater chance of drop outs.

I just need to know how to erase tapes (audio) with a realistic tape eraser cat. no. 44-233A???

1. Plug into a standard 110-120V AC power outlet.
2. Select a tape [or similar small object]...
3. Hold the eraser in your hand and squeeze the trigger. The red light indicates that the unit is operating.
4. While squeezing the trigger, place the bottom of the eraser in contact with the item to be erased. Move the eraser slowly in a circular motion over the entire product area but do not release the trigger yet.
Make circular passes arount the tape for approximately 10-20 seconds, then slowly withdraw the eraser until it is about three feet away from the tape. Now release the trigger.
5. Turn the cassette or diskette over and repeat steps 3 and 4.

Erasing the tape on a sony handycam vision please

Well the cheapest way is to go into record mode, cap the lens with the black lens cap and record a 'black' picture on the tape. This will erase all the pictures on the tape and leave you with a 'black' screen on the whole tape.

No video displayed?

Throw a new tape in, record then playback right away, then you'll know for sure if it's the camcorder or tapes for erased.

Eraser

Yeah, a strong magnatic field can erase whole tape at once. You can try it by using Deggausing Coil at TV repair shops, though i have not tried it yet.
