Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

I have a fan assisted built in oven. Model PPL 776S Serial number 350 11467. We bought our low set in 2004 and it was brand new. My problem is the oven light has gone in the back and we have tried to remove it to put new bulb but to no avail. Can you help with this problem please. Have tried warming the oven to see if this helps but it doesn't. Many thanks. Doreen Chart

I forgot to say it is a Westinghouse built in oven.

  • artifact Apr 18, 2008

Have forwarded a message to Westinghouse as we do not have lockset for this bulb. Many thanks for your help.

  • artifact Apr 22, 2008

Have been in touch with the people over this lockset tool and they have never heard of it. Even suppliers of parts have not heard of the tool to remove the bulb part.

How to clear or reset SA6 code on digital display? none of the button function works.

SAB (which is probably the display message) means that the range is in Sabbath mode. The unit believes that you want the range to maintain whatever the previous settings were for the next 24-36 hours. (This is useful for those who do no work on the Sabbath but wish to keep a dish hot in a low oven for the period.)

Providing the model number would be more helpful than the serial number. The manual for the range will explain how to toggle on and off the Sabbath mode. Since you don't give your range's manufacturer and model number, I can't be sure how to disable the mode. However, on some models, press and hold the Timed oven "Cook Time" and "Delay start" buttons. For some Maytag ovens, just press and hold the Clock key.

I hope this helps.

Open the bottom drawer and look on the frame of the stove where the door closes on it. There should be a model number and serial number there. You should probably record it and add it to a file with all your appliances brands and model numbers for safe keeping.

Where's my serial number

You should provide a BRAND name in order to find a definite answer to this question. Different manufacturers place this information on nameplates in different locations on their appliances. Most commonly, the Model and Serial numbers are located around the oven door opening. You will have to open the door to see the nameplate. If you have a lower oven drawer, its probably located there. On certain models of Maytag and Fridgidaire (I'm sure there are other manufacturers as well) this same information is located on the BACK of the operator console. If you are still having problems, please post back with your brand name and I'll see if I can give you better guidance.

Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

Hello stevefer

You said, Your Electrolux built in wall oven, lights and digital display work fine, fan works fine, but the oven will not heat regardless of the mode (broil, bake, convention roast, convection bake)

1.What is the Model Number and the year of your wall oven?
2.Did the oven light up and display with any error codes?
3. Did you try to turn the breaker off for 5 minutes to see if this will reset the system?

Perhaps the heating element is failing and may need to be replaced.
I will be able to better assist you when you reply with this information.
Waiting your response.
