RCA 32V434T Changed recomended part: New Problem

I changed the Transformer and also the Transister recommended to change when the transformer went out. Now the tv powers on. I can feel the static in the screen when it comes on, but there is still no picture or sound. It stays on for about a minute with flashing red power light. Then turns off by itself making a static noise right before. Did I do something wrong when installing something? Or is there another part that might need to be replaced? Thanks in advance.

One thing that I have noticed is that when I removed the origional transformer, the suction cup that goes on the back had some sticky puddy on it. I didn't have anything like that to put on the new one. So I didn't use anything. Could that be a problem?

The transformer was in a new box when I received it...

I hooked up a signal to the tv, but it doesn't stay on long enough to show any signs of sound.

I will have to check on the power supply voltages and the electrolytic caps when I get home...

Was the xformer RCA, new in the box ?.........

The silicon rubber seal is to moisture entry. Do not re-apply.
Make sure your connection is good.......

Did you hook-up signal to verify no sound ?

NSNP , HV ok = something wrong other than xformer....

Check all power supply voltages.....................T.

Check top of electrolytic caps for expanded, bulged or
what techs call "pooched".....................

Image wider than tv screen

The problem is on the line transformer, this is a big transformer with a big cable going to your tube. what is happening is that, this transformer is over driving due to high power. Take your tv to be repaired by tech who is going to checking around the same transformer for a resistor or a capacitor ( electrolitic capacitors ) which has changed values. The change is causing high current to flow into your transforner. Thanks for asking fixya for held.
thanks.

RCA TV 32V434T transformer?

When the HVT goes out, it will take the HORZ output, in short, you will hear a high pitch noise for a sec, when pluged in. As to your question, Its not a hard repair, however its not what I would call a begainer repair. This is what make the high voltage (about 32,000 volts) for you set to work. If you DO try it, becareful. And don't forget to change Horz output p# 274762. After changing the parts, unit will not run for more then 10 seconds. You have to use a volt meter and set the G2 for 290v, with no signal and blue screen. + or - 5 volts will cause unit to shut off.
