The backlight has gone bad. I have seen this exact problem in SEVERAL other Jensen units.. The backlight might last 5 years, or in extreme cases, maybe 15 minutes.. I have also seen them bad out of the box.

CAN CRACK THE CODE OF ANY RADIO OF ANY BRAND USING THE SERIAL NUMBER OF
IT, IF U LIKE POST YOUR SERIAL # AND MAYBE HE COULD HELP YOU OUT.
It should work if Jensen says so. Buy from BesBuy, CircuitCity or someone who will take it back in case it is not compatible. Remember to ask for one that would compatible with Jensen. Goodluck.
