Hello,

what emergency brake are you referring to? Is it a car emergency brake and which car model are you talking about?

Please rephrase your question, because I don't really understand it.

I look forward to your reply.

Bye for now.

when I try to play a dvd in my touchscreen dashmount the warning screen comes up saying to engage the emergency brake on the vehicle in order to watch the video. So I put my emergency brake on and the warning screen will not go away

SOURCE: the emergency brake warning will

The warning is there because the signal that the brake has been engaged doesn't reach the player - either the unit was badly installed or there's a fault in the wiring. To find which you will have to remove the unit and test the wiring.
BTW you don't need the remote, almost all functions can be easily accessed from the buttons on the unit. The remote is there so that the passengers from the rear seats don't have to lean towards the central console to operate the unit.

VW golf mk4 press brake warning light not coming on

What brake are you talking about? The emergency brake or the brake pedal. Warning lights only come on when 1, there is a leak ing the system while driving and you loose pressure, 2. upon starting the vehicle as a bulb check, 3. When you apply the emergency brake. Have the brake switch on the pedal and emergency brake checked also check the bulb. If the bulb lit upon startup, it is probably the switch. Please give more details so that we can be better able to help you.

Dash brake light on is not the hand brake

Check your brake fluid level. This can sometimes cause the Brake warning light to come on even when the Emergency brake is not engaged.

It may also be an issue with the toggle switch/censor on the emergency brake itself. Your Vehicle is over two decades old and electronics tend to fail at that age.

Check those out first.

If not, take it to a mechanic or brake specialist and have them diagnose the problem.

Hope this helped! Thanks!

Brake system warning light remains on at all times

Good Evening, I am sorry to hear you are having problems however there are a few things that will set your brake warning, light. Low brake fluid is the first place I would end up checking. Next I would be sure the emergency brake pedal is not depressed any to have the light on. Check those out first and let me know how it goes.

Squealing sound - front driver's side brakes

This sounds like a wear indicator( a metal tab on the brake pad) is doing its job, warning you that the brake pads need replacement soon. you can bend the wear indicators away from the rotor so they won't make contact. This will stop the annoying noise. Replace the pads and check the brakes soon. Brake pads should always be changed on both wheels at thge same time, so change the other front pads also.

Emergency brake stuck, pedal release broken

What happens is the brake cables rust inside the cable sheath and then they won't slide easily. There's no good fix for this other than replacement. It's not easy to even find where they are stuck. It might be possible to find the end of the cables at the back wheels and pull the cables back---to release the tension

Wiring? emergency brake light?

it sounds like the switch in back of emergency brake is bad or out of adjustment.the switch must be grounding out to make car quit. without looking at it, I would say it is the switch.

I.P Brake light is staying on.. what does this mean

Hi,

Offhand, the brake light warning on most dashboards would indicate that the hand/emergency brake is engaged. If even when the hand/emergency brake is disengaged or is in normal position and the light is still lit, it could indicate that:
  • the brake fluid in the reservoir is below minimum level;
  • and possibly the brake shoes/pads need replacement.
Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.
