Question about LG 32LX1 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

No video, not even menu

The tv is on, but there is nothing on the screen. Not even the menu option, input change, nothing. The tv is one week old and worked fine until now, yet nothing has changed. I think I have lost faith in LG.

If the tv is only a week old take it back to the store where you bought it for exchange or call LG for service under warranty. these units ( all LCD, Plasma and DLPs are essentualy a computer and have glitches). during mass manufacturing of these sets no matter the manufacturer problems will arise because of enviromental laws that prohibit the use of leaded solder. no lead solder takes higher heat to melt and different acids are used to clean the contacts. this posses problems to all manufacturing. the sets of yesteryear which lasted longer because of larger components and better soldering have gone by the wayside. don't lose faith in the manufacturer wave the figer at the enviromentalist that caused the problem.

I keep getting a blue screen on my Insignia TV. Cable box still shows the channel and I can change channels but nothing on screen. No sound either. This TV is not even 3 years old yet.

A blue screen indicates no video signal, if you change the video input to a DVD player is it still a blue screen? If yes then the TV is defective. If no then some how the signal is being lost to the TV from whatever source you use for watching broadcast TV

My Sanyo tv stuck in Please Select Language screen. I have unplugged tv, changed batteries in remote. I'm also am stuck. Tv is a year old. No power outages either.

Depending on the unit you have if you have more than one input (mine has four HDMI, Computer, Standard TV, etc) you may need to be on the right channel or input. You should be able to bring up an On Screen Display that will let you make changes, You might want to try the Menu key on the remote to bring this up. If nothing else go to http://sanyo-av.com/support/ and find your TV and look at the manual.

How do you get your xbox 360 to play, on a 65'' mitubishi projection tv,its connected but nothing comes on screen when i put a movie in just a blank screen and no sound,if i'm on a channel, the channel...

Hello

The Xbox 360 connects to a TV using either

- COMPONENT (red blue green for video, red and white for audio

- COMPOSITE (yellow for video, red and white for audio)

- HDMI

So, if your TV is on a "Channel", it is not on the correct input to view the Xbox 360.

Check the Xbox and verify which cables it is using to connect to the TV. When you find this, follow the cable to the back of the TV and find the input selection. It should be listed as the type and a number (i.e. HDMI 2, COMPONENT 1).

Have the Xbox on. Use the TV remote and use either the INPUT or the MENU options to change the input to the input that matches the port that the Xbox is connected to.

This should make the Xbox work.

When you are done with the Xbox, use the INPUT or MENU to change back to the tuner to watch TV.

This is 2003 model and does have a hard reset. It will return set to as it was when new in box, on air band on channel three, most likely you did something with remote that changed something.

I am in California and can tell you how to with the set on with the Mitsubishi remote enter the OPTION MENU AND RESET IT.

DO YOU WANT THIS INFORMATION?

A VERY HELPFUL RATING IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOLUTION WILL TELL YOU HOW TO GET INTO THE OPTION MENU.

Impossible to get video input to show

It is possible that the physical connection inside the set is broken. Can you solder? If so, update this and I'll provide more information and instructions.

There's an option on the menu to tuen 'demo mode' on and off. If it's set to on, that's your problem. It will be switching input sources every 2 minutes or so. Switch this off and it'll be ok again.

Try the old RCA/GE channels of 90/91 or 92 to get to the inputs. Or try entering channel 00. Let me know if that works.

We had the identical problem, which was solved by changing the input channel on our Panasonic plasma screen. This was not obvious and we needed help from the person who installed the system. The input channel had changed automatically!
