Screen saver of any pc or laptop depends on the OS (operating system) that is currently installed in the computer. If you want to put on a screen saver than left click on your desktop. If you have Vista click personalise. Xp than properties. Then click on screen saver and choose. Assuming you are using windows XP on this: Create a new folder in "my pictures " folder Copy the images you want to use into there On your desktop, RIGHT click and choose "properties" to open the display settings Click "Screen saver" and choose my pictures slideshow Click "settings" to open the options for this Click browse to point to where you saved the images Set the duration and timings to suit your tastes Exit by clicking Ok and the OK to exit the display settings
I see that you are tying to change your screen saver on you HP mini 210-2160NR.
* Your HP mini 210-2160NR has Windows7 Starter Edition installed,
* click on start you will see a search bar type in screensaver, * then choose Change screen saver, * the Screen Saver Settings windows will appear on your screen, select the screen saver you desire then click on Apply then OK, this is where you can change your screen saver settings instead of going to personalize.
Windows7 starter edition does not have functions like the other window7 version but the above instructions are a work around to personalize your Windows7 starter.
I hope that this will answer your query regarding how to change your Screen Saver on your HP mini 210-2160NR, have a nice day.
Hello, to turn off the screen saver just follow these steps.
Open Screen Saver Settings by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Screen Saver.
To turn off all screen savers, under Screen Saver, click (None) in the drop-down list, and then click OK. - or - To turn on a screen saver, click a screen saver in the drop-down list, and then click OK.
the infra red i dont know anything about, sorry. the power settings, most of the time are in control pannel .
if you haven't already solved your problem, try going thru
'control pannel', then ' performance & maintenance',
then 'power options'. anyway, thats where mine are located so maybe you'll get lucky and solve one issue. good luck!
The screen brightness may be too low. That may happen in certain power regimes ( when used on battery power, presentation, etc.) Here is how to change screen brightness on a Toshiba satellite that has the Toshiba Power saver software installed
Go to the Control panel, Click Toshiba Power Saver ( icon has two hands praying?) and increase the screen brightness. in each of the different regimes provided : Full power, High Power, Normal, DVD Playback and so on.
There is most likely a utility ( ati util ) that runs in the background so set the resolution through there utility and that should solve the issue where as if you set it through windows display properties it will continue to do the above.
