1 Answer

No picture I've had this television for a couple of years now, and I turn it on today and BAM! No picture. I can hear it turn on, and I can turn it off, but absolutely no picture; just black. Any ideas? Thanks!

It's probably convergence. Take the back off and locate the convergence board. On this unit it's up and to the left looking into the back of the unit - the board is on a separate heat sink mounted to a cross rail. Locate the two wire plug going into that board that is marked on the board +/-20v and unplug it. Now plug the Tv back in and try to power it up. If it comes up with good audio that board needs to be repaired. The two amps on it need to be replaced and both the return and line resistors out front of those amps need to be tested and replaced as needed.
My shop charges $225.00 to rebuild this board which should give you some idea about what you would pay..
Hope this helps!

Based on what you described I would say your TV has the "shrinking and expanding" fault. Its a common problem on that model and the symptoms can range from the video shrinking and expanding or no video or no audio....You can read more about this fix on the site www.TvRepairKits.com

Hi,

The symptoms you've mentioned is an indication that the lamp needs to replaced because it is already burnt out. You've said that the lamp was replaced 3+ years ago, then you have to replaced it with new one to resolve the issue.

I've had my Mistsubishi 55"

The main board has an issue which has most likely blown a fuse. Those boards have been discontinued so repairing that one will be at least a couple hundred depending on the shop doing it.Or yo umay be ble to locate a used one on ebay .

It sounds like to me theat the new lamp is faulty. If there is any pieces of glass in the lamp compartment, remove them so they will not travel and get wedged in places they should'nt be.
Hope this helps,

No picture, hear sound, television will shut off after a few seconds.

Lamp life is only a few thousand hours. Hopefully its only the lamp that made to noise. Don't turn on again until lamp is replaced.

Sounds like many different problems maybe related thou. You say 6043a but you are under WD-62327. So this info is for that.1. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977020 also you could need.. Suspect the Signal PCB part # 930B923002 if no video keeps up
