Make sure that the VGA port is connected with those audio cables so that its the same input and not a different one. Thats what the most trouble people are going to run into is that they put them in different inputs and not the same ones.

When i hook my laptop up to my tv to play my movies the sound sound will only come out my laptop not my tv how do i fix this

Hi Gemma. You will need to state the connection type that you are using. If it is via a VGA cable, blue 15 pin D connector, then it will not carry sound, neither will a DVI, bigger white connector. Only an HDMI cable will carry sound and video. If you use HDMI, make sure that you set the HDMI as sound device as well. If you are usinf VGA or DVI, you will need to add an audio cable, 3.5mm stereo audio from your speaker/earphone jack on the laptop to "Sound In" on the TV. Hope this helps!

Volume problem--laptop to tv

I'm confused, are you trying to use a VGA cable for both video and audio? VGA cables don't have sound built into them, nor do DVI. If you had an HDMI plug on your laptop it would be best to go with that since HDMI contains video and audio.

You could just use an Aux cable from laptop to TV. Pretty much it would be a aux to analog type. It's like a speaker plugin, that side is for your computer. Then the other side coming out would be an analog red/white or left/right cable.

Another one, if your TV supports pure aux cable (it's a 3.5MM jack that speakers plug into) Like, my tv has a built in aux port for audio for my computer. So I just use pretty much a standard cable to cable setup.

How to connect Acer Aspire 5530 to TV

If your TV is liquid crystal, or with VGA interface of the TV, the computer also WITH VGA interface don't need to buy TV card.Otherwise not only buy TV card, still need to buy a VGA connections, five meters. But VGA connections only transfer video, not transmit audio. So, you need purchase another audio signal lines, according to TV and computer their audio interface situation choose, both prominent circle mouth speakers audio signal lines. , 5 m.Also you can buy take S terminals output graphics CARDS, but it also requires TV also have S terminal input interface.

HOW CAN I HOOK THE Panasonic TH-42PX75U TO THE VGA OUTPUT ON MY COMPUTER?

If your computer has an HDMI socket, all you need is an HDMI cable. If not you need a VGA cable (the blue cable that usually connects a computer to it's monitor. One end goes into the socket on your TV marked VGA or PC. the other end goes into the monitor output on your computer. if you have a laptop, there will be a vga socket (usually blue inlay in the socket) on the side or back. you will then need to set up the second screen in Control panel, display settings. If using the VGA cable, you will need to run an audio cable from the speaker/headphone socket of your computer to your tv (there will be a 3.5mm jack near the VGA socket) or to your audio receiver.
Good luck.

I HAVE CONNECTED MY ACER ASPIRE PC TO MY SAMSUNG LCDTV USING A VGA CABLE , THE PICTURE IS THERE , BUT I CANT GET ANY SOUND ?

The VGA cable only supplies video data to the LCD TV. Connect a sound cable from the audio out from the Acer PC to the audio input on the LCD TV to get sound from the LCD TV's speakers.

VGA and Audio cables connected to PC but no audio through TV

if your tv has vga input there should be a "line in" input very near it. VGA can only get its audio source through a "line in" connecting to the coaxial audio inputs will apply the music stream to a different video input on your tv. your tv has video 1, video 2, vga, and so on, but the vga cannot show video and then audio from the video/audio coaxial inputs. you will need something like a dual male tipped 3.5mm audio connector.

Good luck and pls rate this post

Research to see if the tv is vga compatable. Not all tv's can be hooked up to a computer. Most tv's that can be will have a vga port, thus you will need a vga cable.(sorry don't have a pic, google it)
