How to logout on facebook by typing url... im using a proxy server(unblockbook.biz)when i clicked the account tab it leads me to edit account page...so i have no option sometimes but to close the window itself... but seems my account has been compromised and was accessed - so i am changing my password from time to time... pelase help

A word of warning. Some companies have policies regarding activities such as the ones you describe. I have a friend that did some similar things and was fired because he made the corporate IT guys look bad. Keep in mind that you are using their network and probably their computers. They have the right to deny access to any site. If they are blocking through firewall/proxy servers then there is no way around it. All traffic must pass through these servers to get to the internet. My advice is to get a cellphone that can run the Facebook mobile app and access it through that. I use a Blackberry Curve 8310 since my company blocks Facebook. I hope that this helps. Good luck. Hi. I had a similar problem... it can be fixed! Email facebook and explain what happened. Be patient and persistent.
send email to:

the first email I received back from them (day after I emailed) was generic saying:
"Our records indicate that there is not a disabled account associated with the address you are writing from. If you are referring to another account that has been disabled, please contact us directly from the email address you use to log in to that account..."
Except the email I was using DID belong to my missing account. So I replied with the SAME original message. And detailed what happened to my account.
I received a SECOND response, identical to the first.
I emailed them AGAIN detailing what happened.
FINALLY (about 1 1/2 weeks later) I received this email:
"Hi Chelsey,
Your original account has been reactivated and you should be able to access it now. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any further questions, please visit our Help Center at the following address:
http://www.facebook.com/help.php

i guess ur using a licensed and updated antivirus (i prefer avg/kaspersky)..!!
this is a common problem now days, probably itz caused by a virus/trojan..

try using only --
http://login.facebook.com/login.php

download microsoft KB890830, install n run

also possibilies of:
u may not hv java runtime/adobe flash player/shockwave player installed..
the windows firewall is limiting the site..
may b ur antivirus is doing so..
some spyware/trojan horse also may play foul..
sometime it also depends upon the browser u r using..
may b it is black-listed or restricted by using 'content advisor' (in case of ie) in ur computer by some user or the above..
may b it is being filtered by the 'phishing filter'..
there may b possibilities that the site may contain 'active content'..
