I have used the AVG 7.5 for years, now I update to AVG 8 and I have probems. I don't know how to check my firewall block or whatever it is. Can't I speak to someone personally to walk me through this. This is suppose to be the age of communication, but for us computer illiterate who are just trying to function this is very frustrating.

Your firewall or AVG is most likely blocking the access, what you need to do is go into the settings of it to check the blocked applications and make sure that you can get to the other computer.

If you send me a message and tell me how your trying to connect to the other computer I can try to help you out. One thing that you have to keep in mind that technology changes ALL THE TIME all of us here are trying to communicate with anyone that has a problem, when you get frustrated thats when you block yourself off from help. You need to be more open to us helping you. I'm more than willing to help you just shoot me a message and tell me how your trying to hook up the computers and I'll see what I can do okay? Thanks!

Have you got the latest Microsoft updates loaded? That can cause that especially with Google. I have not heard of any conflicts with FireFox. Office is suspect also if the Office updates are missing. Have you enough RAM to run all programmes at once? Check the specifications maybe.
Good luck.

I have installed AVG 8 but I keep getting Messages saying I have no protection Firewall and Antivirus

It could be that the Windows security has not identified that you have installed AVG 8. Have you rebooted the computer to see if that helps? Generally, it does. I know that Windows security identifies AVG 8 because that is the antivirus product that I use and I have no problem.

Hello,

You computer is infected with virus, You can scan your computer online ..
www.precisesecurity.com/antivirus/online-scan.htm

and then after scanning uninstall the norton and install the AVG antivirus..You can download it from here: www.grisoft.com

You can do online scan but you should start the pC insafe mode with network connection.

If this not solve maybe better to back up your files and then reinstall the windows operating system.
