My Konica Minolta magicolor 1690MF makes a terrible loud squeeking noise when printing. Not sure if it is a feeding issue? Please help. I just removed/replaced the imaging cartridge and toner cartridges, problem is still there. And I checked the paper tray.

I had the same trouble with my 1690 and called Minolta tech support.

Their explanation to me was that if I used re-filled cartridges, instead of Konica-Minolta originals, that I would have the noise problem.

I've had the same problem since the machine was new and had the original cartridges Konica supplied. Other owners have similar complaints posted on the net. I think it indicates poor quality control as I've never had this occur with any other laser printer over the years from other manufacturers.

You need to localize the problem, does the noise occures eg when the toner wheel is turning or when paper gets picked up, or when it passes trough fixing assy....

Hard to tell without seeing it, or hearing it :-)

I have 1690mf and changed cartridges, the 3c10 call engineer appears after printing, paper jammed. Had call out from service engineer, afraid he's at a loss too, says it is a security issue but no instructions on how to repair, waiting now to hear from Konica theselves as to what is the answer, I can still print, just have to take the paper out and switch on an off when it stops, annoying though

you may have to replcae the fuser . typically a fuser will have to replaced once every 4 toner replacements .
