If the convergence will not adjust then 1 or more of the convergence amp ic's have failed. Most times just replacing the ic's will correct the problem, but sometimes when and ic fails there is other damage such as open or burned resistors or open cp (circuit protect fuse). If you want to reply with a make and model I can provide part #'s and locations.

Color blue will not adjust on crt color conergence adjustment , picture on tv is double with blue on right side, auto/manual mode , the color blue will not adjust on right or middle side from side to side,...

This is a convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$300

Cant get icns lined up can adjust side to side but

if this is a rear projection crt type set go into the customer menu and select CONVERGENCE--if either blue or red will not move up and down--you have a bad convergence IC---most sets use two of them.

Seeing doubles

there is an adjustment called convergence.the convergence setup generates a crosshatch.you need to adjust the red deflection.this is a common thing when the t.v gets moved.the crosshatch or convergence button is mostly on the front control panel.consult the manual for where it is.

My screen has a wave in it/red convergence won't adjust

You have convergence output failure. The output ICs will need to be replaced and possibly a small component like a resistor or two as well. Expect to pay a service company $350-$450 to resolve this.

Color adjust

Greetings!

Adjusting the picture tubes is a scary proposition, but since you have already done it...
The easiest way to balance the gray scale is to turn the color all the way down on the set. The next part is easier with two people if the screen controls are on the back of the set. This is the part you saw that has six small knobs on it. There are control for the focus of the red, gree and blue and for the screen level of the red, green and blue. You will want to adjust the screen controls in an effort to get the picture black and white (this is why you turn the color down), hence the term "gray scale". Just make slight adjustments, take your and be patient. It will take some time, but you will get your picture balanced back out in time.

Hope this helps!
