Hi, I've bought a URC22B

Hi, I've bought a URC22B universal remote. I've managed to programme it to my Sanyo tv ok so I know the remote works. But I can't get it to programme to my Philips DVD recorder/player. The codes for Philips DVD in the booklet are supposedly 559 and 675 however these codes don't work. I've tried doing it manually and with auto search but no joy. In fact when using manual search(after pressing SET & AUX together to indicate I want to programme the DVD) it ends up turning the tv off instead, so in manual search it is programming the TV again instead of the DVD?! This has made me wonder if the AUX button doesn't actually programme the DVD at all and that's why the two codes don't work. There is no DVD button on the remote, just AUX. Please help because the company I bought the remote off are really not very friendly or helpful. Thanks, L.
