Have you tested speaker system any other device like dvd player or other operating system? If it works fine there, then there is a problem in your os ie. driver is malfunctioning or corrupt. You may uninstall the audio driver first and restart the system and install latest driver, which you can download from manufacturer's site else your amplifier is having problem. If it is within the warranty send to company for rectification or replacement as per the agreement else show it local good technician for repairing the amplifier.

My powered subwoofer no longer works through the receiver

if you have your front and centers set to 'small' you want your Bass out to be subwoofer only, and the rca jack labeled 'sub out' is the only place to connect your sub to if you want to control the frequencies with your reciever. I dont know the brand of your sub, or the inputs on the back of it to advise you where to connect, but it sounds like it worked for you at one time, but suddenly it does not

Subwoofer not working.... JVC surround sound system 778V Subwoofer Part Number SP-PW37-SUB I hear a hum coming from unit so there's power going to it. I hear weak bass thumps with volume turned all the way...

A connectivity check could provide the solution, notice any wrong wire connections on device or any other devices requiring interconnection. The woofer would perform properly when the connections that provide current for woofing are approapiate

important notes
1. Trace the connection from Recorder or sound output to the woofer device
2. The wiring connections should be sound and video ouput into sound and video output into woofer.
3. The connections if any problems would be located at the stereo recorder or device producing the spund and video. Check the connections of wires on the recorder device ensuring rewiriing
4. finally, adjust the equalisers if any the buttoms could have been disbled by master switch hindering full blaster boost sound.

alot of times its not just the amp that gives you better sounding bass.. A lot has a to do with a few other factors as well.. first off your subwoofer.. the bigger the subwoofer the deeper the bass. Some woofers exturde, or flex differently depending on the quality and structure of the woofer.. 2nd is gonna be the sub box. different size boxes will give your sub diff. depths of bass. ... general idea is the bigger the box deeper the bass. But if your woofer is not supplied enough power a big box is useless.   With that size amp your best bet is too run a single woofer. Probably a 10inch woofer would sound the best.. but it in.75cub inch. sealed box.. should sound great.

hard to tell whats causing this .Just curious make sure speaker wires going to subs are POLARIZED meaning positive from amp is with positive at woofer and NEGATIVE is with negative at woofer. When these are crossed and when volume is raised you will hear the bass cancell each other out..

Sony XM-2100GTX Car Audio Amplifier sound but very low

If there is sufficient voltage at the amp, you may have blown the woofer. If you have another speaker, connect it to the amplifier to see if it plays normally. If not, the amplifier may have failed. Let me know what you find.

"cracking" noise

Your subwoofer is not capable of playing as loud as you want it to. That sound is the woofer reaching its limit. If you have any bass tone setting on your receiver set them to flat. If there are any other bass settings i.e contour, loudness boost etc turn them off. You can also try putting the woofer into a corner. This will increase the output. Closer to you would also be louder. Otherwise you need a sub with more output. Don't let the power rating fool you when you get a new one.
