The hole on mine where everyone said to put the paper clip had a piece of metal directly behind it so putting the paperclip there did nothing. the 2nd hole from the left under the tray was where i could turn the gears from, with no power

Yes you can open it that way but you have to take the boardering white peice that is around the system tray and then you can use the paper clip method. I do not recommend the screw driver opening it, it in turn might ruin something.

You got a bunch of questions right there for comments, but if your worried about sending it in with the game, most of the time the manufacture looses those items so it's kind of a gamble. If you have any other questions feel free to message me. Thanks!

You have risks of over powering your xbox by putting a more voltage brick to it. I already told you what you should do.

You can do it without the power by using this method. I made it and it works with or without power

Try using a flat head screw driver on the side or top of the drive but do not apply a lot of pressure.

Also, why don't you borrow one of your friends power bricks just to get the disc out.

Hi Demirtas,
I'll try and help you out...
1.  You could try the paper clip method but I wouldn't recommend it, if you are able to take your console to a near by games store they may open it for you using one of their power bricks...
2.  You'd have to run the correct voltage through the console or you could cause irreversible damage to the unit, you don't want to fry the motherboard!  You could pick up a pre-owned brick or use a voltage converter...
3. Yes you can use any power brick as long as the voltage is correct..
I hope this helps a bit, sorry if not.  Please rate!
Thank you!

XBOX360 disk tray keeps ejecting

This is likely the same issue occurring when the disk tray will not open either. Suspect your drive belt is worn and requires servicing. This is best done by an xbox servicing agent. Not too expensive. I have been suffering with a tray that will not open for over 2 years now, however, I am able to fix it simply by ensuring a disk is always left in the tray. It only fails to open if there is no disk in the tray. Even then, I can open it by lifting slightly with a paperclip.

Xbox 360 tray taking 5 or 6 times to open

You will probably need a new DVD drive. If you are experienced with disassembly, you could try cleaning out the drive gears in the DVD drive. If you have a game stuck inside of the drive, there is a small hole in front of the drive, behind the faceplate, that will accept a straightened paperclip and manually drives the tray gears,

My 360 will not read resurfaced games and many times i ctually have to hit it in order for it to open the disk tray. i was wondering if this could be caused by a faulty laser or dvd drive?

The disk tray often gets stuck with the older models of the Xbox 360. After opening the tray, lightly spray some WD-40 onto the areas where the tray moves along.
As for not reading games, it's important that you find whether the issue is the game or the Xbox. Try playing the game on another Xbox console. If it works, your DVD drive is most likely faulty.

Some of the drives have a small hole in which you can put a paper clip or tiny screwdriver in to push open.

Loose disc tray

well, when you opened the tray with a paperclip, it probably jacked up the reading system. The you pushed it in manually. This will totally ruin the system. Try contacting Microsoft.

Xbox 360 Will Not Play Games....

Try opening the disk tray with the 360 off. 05a1ed9.jpg Push a paper clip into 1 of these holes in your 360. It will pop the tray out. Grab the tray pull it out all the way. Put a game in, leave it open! Then turn your 360 on see if it boots the game.
"Your Disk tray might be going bad. It might be fixable but I will have to try it out on a bad drive which iI dont have at this time."
