Iiyama Pro Lite E485S

I am unable to reset the factory settings or find a way of selecting English on the monitor. Each time I log on the screen is dull, then when the auto callibrage is on it is nice and bright, but when the callibrage window disappears the screen goes dull again.

Sorry Mangate, being a Silver-Surfer it takes longer for technical jargon to penetrate. What is a EPRom Problem and how does one exchange or re-program it. Your assistance is appreciated. Thank you

  • argyllbill Apr 17, 2008

Mangate, I ment to mention that my problem relates to a iiyama ProLite E485E 19" Monitor and not the 38A mentioned above. For some reason FixYa doesn't recognise mine as a valid product.

    Bill.

You can also remove the EEPROM entirely if you are using DVI input. In that case you don't need to make any settings anyway.

You can also remove (desolder) the EEPROM chip entirely if you are using DVI input only.
Because in that case you don't need to make/save any settings anyway.

really? here's the thing..try to check the display settings manually.press the menu button of your monitor then try adjust the contrast, brightness and colors as well to your desired level..if your'e using LCD monitors, these are very sensitive and can be easily damaged if don't handle it very well..don't press the auto button always because it will automatically adjust the settings every now and then..
