Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
Plug an external monitor to see if the image is correct. If the problem is reproduced you probably have a problem in the motherboard. Otherwise the problem is in the LCD screen.
You can buy a replacement screen and change it yourself. See this link for the part:
