Trust me that works i just installed this deck in my truck today. And no you dont have to do anything with the ebrake wire at all just cut it off. Make sure you hear the beep sound when you hit 543210 you should hear it each time.

    I have the same problem Jbuendia has. I tried the code several times. I hear the beeps and nothing. I am not the original owner of the vehicle or radio. Could the original owner have changed the security code? It only has space for 4 numbers. Any help would be AWESOME.

    Thanks

How do i by pass parking brake wire for indash dvd jensen vm9312 i'm puting it in old car no p.b.

Hi jason
To answer your question;
You do not need to connect that wire but you need to bypass the parking brake function in the menu.
Here`s the parking brake bypass procedure:
1: Go into AM/FM mode
2: Hit "setup" on the remote control

3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number
entered
4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen.

5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.

6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another.

Hope this help Cheers

Have a jensen linear phase car receiver , there is a light pink wire coming out of it what is it for ?

The pink wire is the safety wire so that you can not watch the screen (during a video) unless your car is in park. You can either connect it to a ground or completely bypass it by typing the code 543210 in the menu screen and turning the safety feature off.

Try entering the default Jensen passcode "012345". It may sound silly, but it'll work if the owner hasn't changed the password to their own personal code.
