i wanna know when i connect DV cable to my laptop for the purpose of transferring movie, it doesn't detect my camcorder.
any setting required?

- PLEASE HELP! I have been trying for hours, days, weeks and months to get my Sony DCR-IP55 properly detected by my computer. I've downloaded every driver I can think of, software, and even have a firewire and a usb port which I've tried. Can someone please help me? My e-mail is: purpleflower17@aol.com- jennn1986

Can i use the HDMI port to connect my camocorder ( CCD-TRv615) to my laptop to download videos so i can burn into a dvd? If I can, what kind of cable do I buy to transfer my videos?

Where do I fine the Step by Step on how to do this?

hey emron,

this usually happens if you dont have a driver for that cam in your laptop. as long as your laptop doesnt recognize you cam, try jumping from one usb port to another. when the new hardware wizard appears, this will help you to connect that to your system.
