Your question was not quite clear "then show them on my computer"

1.) You can use a third program software like nero.
To use nero, you have to "purchase" it first, then install nero, then open "Nero burning ROM" application usually either under
"program files\Ahead\Nero\Nero Burning Rom\nero.exe"
or
Program Files\Nero\...\Nero Burning Rom\Nero.exe

Select the option CD-ROM Iso, then select multi session(if you want to add pictures later) or no multisession (if you dont want to add pictures later)::: For example, your CD takes abour 700MB of data, but you only have 10 pictures @ 30MB or so then you most likely to use multisession.::: Then click on the "new" button to start compiling your cd.

Then you can add your files into your compilation. You can give your CD a name by either double clicking on the little disk icon to your right in the first nero and changing the name OR by selecting "File" from the menu, then selecting the "Compilation properties" option, then click on the "Label" tab, and change your cd's name there.

All you have to do now, after you have given your cd a name and added files to the compilation is to find and click on the "burn" icon located in the nero bar below the "file, edit, new menus".

2.)If you have installed nero, you can also use Nero smart start 2 complile your CD. Benefis: Much quicker and easier to use.

Tip

CD or DVD drive will not appear in My computer or Device Manager. Will not burn...

This will allow you to remove the optical drive filters from your computer. This is a problem that causes burner drives to no show in your my computer/device manager or burning software not being able to burn CDs. Each part is seperated by Windows 7/Vista and Windows XP.

Windows 7 / Windows Vista
  1. Click Start and then click All Programs.
  2. Click Accessories, and then click Run.
  3. Type regedit, and then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
  4. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
  5. In the right pane, click UpperFilters.

Note You may also see an UpperFilters.bak registry entry. You do not have to remove that entry. Click UpperFilters only. If you do not see the UpperFilters registry entry, you still might have to remove the LowerFilters registry entry. To do this, go to step 8.
  6. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
  7. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
  8. In the right pane, click LowerFilters.

Note If you do not see the LowerFilters registry entry, unfortunately this content cannot help you any further.
  9. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
  10. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
  11. Exit Registry Editor.
  12. Restart the computer.
Windows XP

Need help burning pictures to disc.

Is your CD Drive working, Can you play a store purchased music cd on it? Click Start/My Computer and see if your CD drive is listed as a device. If not Remove the power cord, Remove the Case, then unplug the two cables that go into the CD drive, then plug the two cables back in. Reboot and see if your CD Drive is listed. If so, now try your burning process again.

Maybe your cd drive's write mechanism is bad.

Would like to copy my pictures onto a CD

I guess you have a CD writer/Combo or DVD writer on your computer.
Assuming you have Windows XP, I'll answer the question. (If you have Win 7 still you may be able to figure out how to do this after reading these instructions).
Select the pictures you want to copy. Right-click on one of them and select Send To --> (Your CD Writer) from menu. (If you have pictures in several locations you can go to each folder and do this).
You will see a text balloon appearing on bottom right corner saying 'You have files waiting to be written to CD'. Click on this balloon or open the CD writer from 'My Computer'.
Click 'Write these files to CD' from the left. Insert a blank CD and proceed.

I want to burn photos onto a CD. The box I have

You can burn any type of file on a dvd-rw disc. However your cd burner must be dvd-rw not cd-rw. To verify your device open my computer (on most pc's) you will see drive c (your hard drive) and drive d which is your cd rom it should say dvd-rw.
You may also need dvd burning software for more information about this click here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/expert/jones_02november25.mspx

How can I burn pictures onto a DVD, so ot can be

If you have a DVD burner you can use the burning software that came with the unit. Maybe "Sonic" or "Nero".
Start the burning software and drag add drop your pictures into the "burn window".

Check your DVD front door to see if it says DVD Writer or DVD ROM.
If it says ROM, then it is not a burner.

Best DVD or CD discs is Verbatim brand (OfficeMAX, best price).

CD'S ARE SHOWING AS A AUDIO CD

I think you need to re-install your cd burning software. You not have to but, I would install Revo-uninstaller from CNET.com and delete your burning software and re-install your software.

Dvd-audio cd burning issue

If you are burning a "Data Disc" (the burning software should tell you or have you select it) then music will NOT work on a CD-player. It will only work in another PC.

Data disc is for files, pictures, videos, music that you want other COMPUTERS to be able to read and play.

If you want a music CD to work in a car or something like that it NEEDS to be burned as a music disc, not data.

Hope that helps.
