Thanks. I did find a open element wire. The thermostat and fuse were fine. It all happened when vent was severely plugged. Cleaned it out and she's purring away now!

Coul be a fuse pn: 279973 or heater pn:3387747
I don't believe that is a heater because its a new machine.
You can get the parts at sears . com and search for parts.
If you open the botton plate of your dryer you gonna see at the right side the heater and screwed into the heater is a thermostat and a fuse.
Before replace the heater , make sure that your vent is cleaning otherwise its gonna blow again

Is the dryer gas or electric? But you can also try cleaning the vent tube the pipe that goes outside also the pipe that goes into the dryer it's a good chance it's full of lint.

Whirlpool duet dryer goes to sensing..but wont turn on

The control board senses the inlet thermistor shorted. The inlet thermistor is a part of the hi-limit thermostat which is located on the heating element box. Here is the part to order.

Whirlpool Duet dryer not drying like it used to

If your duet isn't heating properly and you have taken care of the lint problem then you could have one of two problems. Either you have a bad heating element or you have a bad fuse or temperature sensor.
If your dryer is not heating at all then it is most likely the fuse or temp sensor. If it is heating and just not enough it is probably a bad heating element.
Both problems would require a repairman to come and fix normally, however if you believe it is the heating element that can usually be replaced by the homeowner without too much trouble. Just make sure to ask where it is located from whatever place you but the new element from.

Whirpool duet dryer mod GEW9200LW0, working but not heating up

If it's starting and not heating it's usually one of two things. Take off the bottom panel. 2 screws hold it in place. If you have a way to check the element with a meter or something that would be ideal. It should read about a short circuit. The other part that goes out a lot is the thermal fuse located in the front on a pipe it's long and narrow. Here is a link to show where things are in there.
