Keep your paper feed under 15 pages. The paper will tend to pull to the right, but it will print correctly on the printed page. 20 to 25 pages in the feeder will result in a paper jam. To find the status on the print job, go to your control conter and hit printers. Choose your spicific printer and you may beable to save the printjob.

I load the paper in the printer and try to print and it will not print. Have restarted several times, have done a system mechanic check and restarted and still will not print.

Lexmark 1240

during our call we found that you where using copier paper into a inkjet, yet this would work for a "time", then the damage sets in.

This would cause paper to be mis fed, paper jams, print head issues, ect.

I recommend using inkjet paper, you would need to clear any present jams then try it again, if it still mis feeds then you do have damage to the unit.

Repair would cost more then the printer in your case so I did recommend a newer printer fo you.

Laser jet printers are affordable and last longer the most inkjets in my opinion.

Your diagnosis:

Jammed feeder, or bad pickup roller.

Prognosis: Repair or purchase a new printer.

Thanks for using phone support,

Kind regards,

Lexmark x1240 Feeding incorrectly/crooked

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Also clean The purge unit, called a spittoon assembly in an HP, Lexmark, Caonon and other inkjet printers, is where the print head assembly parks when not in use, also its other job is to clean and make sure the print head is clean and open for printing.

That is where you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it.
It also has an electrical pump to milk the print heads and test for ink flow.

So clean all under where the heads are parked and on IP6600D models you can take out the heads just by clipping them out, and then clean well.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Printer want print

o.k. you said you cleared the paper jam.. double check to make sure everything is clear.

Then try hitting the o.k. resume button. If this does not clear your problem try unplugging the power wire from your printer. Wait like one minute and then plug power back in.

Hopefully this resets your printers memory.. if not try pressing o.k. resume again.

I believe this should help you.. If it does not please write back..

One of a few things. It can be the ink is too low, paper jam, or the chip board went bad in it due to dust, dirt, or just lousey building :)

The printer suddenly stopped printing in the middle of a job. Now whenever i try to print it says job waiting and when i try to delete the current prints it says deleting but stays on saying that and...

Hi,

The unit may have a paper jam or stuck object inside, if you have experience a paper jam error before, check the printer for any object or paper stuck inside, clean roller.

Some error like this can be a problem on the feeder sensor and by this time you may need to replace and repair the unit.

Hope this initial info helps
