Ok, this is the problem: The heat that comes from the bottom "cooks" the rubber rings the tape uses to work. It is an unacceptable design error from pioneer and we were not aware of it. Solution: change the rubber belts over and over and over and...

How do I connect Pioneer equalizer SG9500 to a Sony STR-K740P and Sony CD DVP NC600?

Equalizers can be hooked up two stereos a few different ways. If your receiver or amplifier has what's called a processor loop that is where you would connect the output of the processor to the input of the DEQ and then the output of the processor loop to the input of the Eq. This would be visible on the back as for RCA jacks either with a selector switch above to determine whether you want to use the loop or not or jumpers that go from one of the RCA's into the other input to output for when you're not using that loop. The other way would be to connect it to the input and output for a cassette deck you would hook it up the same way however that would depend on whether your receiver has a separate tape monitor button. If your receiver let's say is In FM mode and you press tape and it still shows FM on but an indicator for tape Mon comes on as well then it will work OK. But, if you must switch off of FM to put on the tape Mon. You prob won't be able to use an eq with that receiver. Then your only other option would be to put the eq between a source such as CD....etc and the input for that source barring phono.

Im having trouble hooking up my equalizer to my Pioneer audio/video multichannel receiver vsx-814

Looking at the back..bottom right corner is CDR/Tape in and out. Connect the in on the eq to the out of CDR/tape, connect the out of the eq to the in of CDR/tape.
You should then be able to use the CDR/tape monitor button to switch the equalizer in and out.

Pioneer vsx-454 not working propley.radio not even hissing, managed to get whisper sound via pc aux,i have cleaned inids?

It sounds like you're not in the right input source (mode) or you have a external source selected. I show your unit as a 1995 model and so check your Tape 1, Tape 2 selection buttons. These "Tape" selection button get dirty contacts that will kill the audio. To clean, with the volume low, press them on and off around 20 times each. This works the contacts back-n-forth and will help clean them.

I don't know if you can help or not, but i picked up a pioneer stereo/cd/dual cassette player - model xr-p260f at a garage sale. It's really clean and looks like it hasn't had much use. The...

Hi,
Tape players have several rubber belts in it and if we do not use them frequently belts loosen and become useless and they need to be replaced... . To accomplish this however you need some sort of handy man ability.. Take out the metal cover of the player by removing the screws on the sides .after removing the cover you can access the tape head /transport mechanism. if you look carefully to underneath of tape transport you will see the motor unit which belts will be there...check the belts for the moving mechanism and make sure the belts are not loosen / worn out or broken . You can replace it with a new one that may available in radio Shack stores. Take care..and let me know if it does not work out..

Im trying to connect a bsr xr eq to my avr687 denon receiver

If you want the EQ to affect the iPod music only, you can hook up the iPod output to the EQ input, then the EQ output to your receiver's AUX input (or DAT input, or whatever you're using to listen to iPod music.

If you want the option of using EQ for other signals as well, then you hook up the EQ to the TAPE inputs/outputs (TAPE OUT goes to EQ input, and EQ output goes to TAPE IN)

If you hook it up this way, then you have to select MONITOR or TAPE MON to get the equalized signal.

Pioneer works with cable box but not with new blue

HDMI version is 1.3 in your receiver. The current version is 1.3b. I would suggest calling Pioneer cust assistance and see if there is a firmware update. Your unit has a 2 year parts & labor warranty. Their # is 1-800-421-1404 It sounds like a CODEC issue. Hope this helps

Pioneer CD deck Receiver XR P250. Neither of the two tapes work. They dont go round.

Hi John

This is something I can tell you that you can sort out yourself with a little bit of mechanical aptitude and a couple of screwdrivers.

FIRST turn the power off to the unit.

If you pop the lid off the unit, you will see that the capstan drive belts to the tape decks mechanism have failed, Either turned to back muck like windscreen sealant, or just broken and dropped off. The belts (each deck has one) will need to be replaced. The part number for the belt(according to my records) is REB1272 You should still be able to get them from Pioneer spares directly in your country. Let me know where you are and I can get some better information to you.
good luck. Happy to assist you further and answer any questions you may have.

Kenwood KA-72B Stereo Receiver HELP NEEDED.

Why not plug the cassette directly into the CD recorder? Are they trying to achieve some eqalization change? If not, then this should work. It's all analog at tape level.
