The remote control for my tv only works when it's really close to the tv (like no more than 1-2 feet away). The same thing happens with two different remotes, leading me to believe it's a problem with the tv and not with the remotes. (Both remotes have new batteries.) Any idea what could be causing this? I have a Panasonic Viera plasma tv.
The fault is probably the infra red reciecer is low gain
this is normally a small printed circuit board.
best to let a service engineer replace it
