Are you the original buyer? If so I would have contacted nissan because most states have what is referred to as a lemon law. According to Statelawyers.com, Lemon Law refers to the statement from the government that was created to protect consumers from defects in automobile. An automobile that has manufacturing defect(s) or if it requires repeated repairs after purchase and if the automobile is under warranty period, such a vehicle is termed as a lemon.

A law was placed for the benefit of consumers to prevent them from a lemon vehicle. In a nut shell if any vehicle such as a car is under warranty period and is suffering from various defects that prevent a consumer to use the vehicle effectively then Lemon law act or the Magnuson Moss Act comes into force.

Lemon law can be enforced on any sort of vehicle like a car, truck, van, SUV, motorcycle, boat or computer, etc. If any of these consumer durables is found to be defective then the consumer is entitled for either money back, replacement or a cash settlement. The law can be consulted with a Lemon law attorney as various states have different lemon laws. Some states have a lemon law for only the automobiles but some also include other consumer durables like computers, etc.

A dealer or manufacturer should have made number of attempts to repair the vehicle before being declared as lemon. Usually three or more attempts in row over a short period of time are required for any vehicle to be termed as lemon. Lemon law is also applicable to vehicles which have been resold but are still under warranty and meet the mileage and time criteria. More often it is very difficult to persuade a manufacturer to accept a lemon vehicle. In such cases a lemon suit is often called for.

To ensure whether a vehicle is a lemon or not one should observe certain conditions of the vehicle before pursuing a lemon law suit. A vehicle should exhibit some serious defect or some abnormal condition. Such a condition should be covered by manufacturer's warranty. Number of attempts for repair should also be taken into account before preparing a lemon law suit. A written notice should have also been issued to the manufacturer prior to a lemon law suit.

A vehicle that has been bought back by the manufacturer from the customer is known as a Lemon Buy Back. Such lemon buy backs are often sold in auctions as used cars by the manufacturers.

The Lemon law enforced for protecting consumers from the lemon vehicles is Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. This lemon law states that any advertised guarantee should explicitly state relevant information about a warranty. This law ensures that any warranty for goods above $15 should be clearly expressed on the goods and should be clear and easy to understand. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty act enables a consumer to bring suit to any manufacturer, supplier, warrantor, or service contractor for any defective piece of good or services.

A lemon vehicle explicitly loses market value due to its manufacturing defect. Moreover, manufacturing defects may lead to several life threatening circumstances. It also substantially impedes a person's ability to control or operate a motor vehicle for ordinary use or intended purposes. Any manufacturing defect can also create a substantial risk of fire or explosion. All these risk elements call for enforcement of Lemon law in the states of United States. This law helps consumer from all such threats and hazardous circumstances.

Cameras stopped working after power outage

Sounds like they have been fried by a power surge - it will be worth having surge protection on them in any future installation.
Is there any voltage/hz selection on these units that need adjusting to suit local conditions or do you purchase against a specified voltage / hz ?

I am a manager of a 40 yr old townhouse complex in Langley B.C. I have a tenant that is a nightmare, to say the least, this tenant is asking that the suit be totally rewired to meet the electrical code of...

I'm not sure of the laws in B.C,as they seem to change from province to province and from year to year.
However I do know that my in-laws recently had to redo their wiring (60 year old home).
The biggest problem they had with the old wiring was that you could only run a few light bulbs/one appliance at a time,as there wasn't enough power.
My MIL kept complaining that she was getting shocks from the stove as well.Seems that there were some grounding issues.
Your best bet is to try bcbuildinginfo.com. They should have the answers you are seeking.
I would also consult with an electrician as they should know the laws there.
Perhaps run a quick test or two/check for faulty wiring, to pacify the tenants.
Check with your insurance company as well to see if the building meets their specifications.
Good luck with your tenant.

Car starting up on the first try

everyone it seems like we need to get everyone together and get a lawyer to create a class action law suite against Nissan. This obviously is a major problem Nissan does not want to admit to. I also have a 2006 Nissna Sentra 1.8L. I have have mine in three times for the exact same problem with hard starts. The first time they put on a modification kit which did not work. The second time they replaced the fuel pump. That worked for a while until it failed again. The last time they put on a fuel regulator which cost me $700 dollars as my car was out of warranty. I told them this was a problem that is all over the internet. They told me that unless customers tell them they do not know. They will admit no wrong doing on this. I called 1-800-647-7261 Nissan. Who set up a case number: 6871201 with a case manager called Kevin Baesso Phone number: 1-866-799-1690 ex: 1417 who pretended to help me but in the end called me back and stated sorry we have chosen not to cover any of the expenses. Lets all fight Nissan with a law suite Brett

Hitachi rear projection tv

Please contact Hitachi at 1-800-654-7013...it sounds like the light engine. This is really expensive to replace. I had the same problem and was told that because our t.v. was out of warranty that we would have to pay to have it replace. A light engine can cost between $700 and $1200 to replace. I am willing to start a class action law suit to get Hitachi to pay. It is obvious that this is a manufacturing flaw. Please let me know what they told you! Our t.v. is 3.5 years old and the color starting to get bad with the arches about a year ago and since January of this year the color has gotten worse. I called Hitachi and was told that the lamp had to be replaced. We did replace the lamp and the problem was still there...we are now out $200. I called back and explained that the problem was still there. After some research on the internet...it appears the the light engine is the defect!! They will tell you that your t.v. is out out of warranty. This is there way of getting out their responsibility. Don't let them buffalo you! I will start a class action law suit against them to get them to own up to their responsibility. Please let me know as to what you have found [email protected].

Sony Vaio Loses Power, with both adapter AND Battery..

Sounds like your power outage might have damaged either your charger or your computer (or both). What type of electrical thingy did you use and where did you use it? Did it have a red clip and a black clip? or does it just make noise when you get close to the wires?

If it has a red clip/black clip then it is probably a multimeter. You'll need to look at the symbols on the power adaptor and look for the voltage output. If it says 19.5v. then you have to set your multimeter to that voltage range and then touch the red pin or clip to the middle of the plug and touch the black to the outside of the plug (both at the same time) and look at the readout. It should show either positive or negative 19.5v. or really really close 19.6 maybe. if it doesn't then the charger is dead. If it does then the computer has sustained damage. It can be repaired but it may be expensive.

If I were you I would call the power company and ask them what they plan on doing about the fact that their system fried your computer.
