When two drives are connecting cd or dvd it detects only one.

If they are IDE drives, then you need to set the jumpers on the rear of the drives. You should set one to master and the other to slave.

Normally on the board there is silk printing to state what connection goes where. Also on the black connector i.e. power LED there is a small arrow that goes to pin 1 of the POWER LED pins.

Hope that was any help thanks J

Motherboard

hello. now whey your computer is on type this into run on your start menu: msinfo32 this will give you all the system info you need, now cross reference it this with the info on this page: http://www4.shopping.com/xPF-ASUS-MB-ASUS-M2N-MX-GF6100-AM2 now you said that the guy at the store cant do anything, well then he is in breach of the EUA support rules and if you have your slip etc he must take it back! your board is faulty, and remember to tell the store keeper, its always been broken. its always beef faulty, etc. and none of it was your fault! the board is damaged or dead due to factory errors, or handling. but!!! i do hope you have checked your USB drivers in your DEVICE MANAGER? this is found in administrative tools, and computer management, at the bottom of the list their will be usb drivers make sure they are installed, for xp see: http://www.usbman.com/Drivers%20and%20Patches.htm the site is a little hard to find stuff on but everything you need is! there. regards lamb.
