Question about Panasonic KX-FL501 Plain Paper Laser Fax

1 Answer

Fax is in an Endless User Stopped, Saving Data Cycle

Yesterday I was making copies. The first copies went through fine. I was only trying to copy 4 pages two at a time. By the fourth copy the fax machine failed to copy and started an endless Saving Data Cycle, so I pressed the Stop button as in the past, but the User Stopped Saving Data button is flashing endlessly and one cannot do anything else. I do not know if anyone can send a fax or not. I know I cannot do anything at all. I have held the button down for many seconds, but it is the same.

Is there a way to get this thing to turn off and back on again by any button. I cannot find a turn off or reset button anywhere.

Thanks a lot. Donna - dkkdolls@aol.com

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Bad print with repeated text on fax or copies

Make a copy and shut the power off or open a door when the paper is 1/2 way into the machine. You are just basically going to have to try to time it. When you hear paper being fed into your machine (the blank paper from the tray) count about 3-5 seconds and then open a door on the machine or shut the power off. IF you have timed it correctly, the paper should be 1/4 - 1/2 way through the machine. Remove the jammed paper **** But be careful..... The toner is NOT FUSED at this point so it will rub off if you brush it up against your clothes or hands. If the image is doubled at this point.. then its the drum unit. If the image is good at this point, then it is probably your fuser.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
