Question about Vacuums
Hoover Steam Vac V2, Model #F7430-900
I have a Hoover Steam Vac V2, model #F7430-900. The spring loaded valve on the soap dispenser needs replacing -is this possible or do I have to get the entire tank.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
You cannot replace the spring loaded value on the soap dispenser – it is a whole assembly and would need to replace the entire tank, you can buy them new or sometimes a local vacuum dealer may have a good used one on hand and that would work as well – check the yellow pages for a local vacuum dealer or Hoover dealer for replacement of the part.

This is most likely due to a problem with the solenoid on the rinse side not opening. The solenoid may require replacement.
