My hoover fan oven hfo 415 x has stopped working and appears that no power is going to it. Have checked fuses but no joy. This cooker often cuts out and i thought it was this originally but clock and everything else is not working. Any ideas will be appreciated

make sure clock is set properly - refer to your instruction book. to test if clock is in fact faulty, access the clock and bypass it by shorting together the two wires to the clock relay

The most common suspect here is a shorted high voltage capacitor, since you say it blew the fuse right after Start, but I would certainly suggest checking the door switches and door switch mounts first. Just be sure you installed the right fuse. It would be a The switch mounts seem to break at about this point in the life of these models. Hello maud2,

Not sure if this will help, but here are the user manuals in pdf format for your cooking range (not sure which version you have):
Classic 110 All Electric Ceramic
Classic 110 Gas

If your clock is totally melted, then as my friends above have suggested, it is best you contact Rangemaster or a competent local serviceman and have them replace the timer panel. This will prove to be in your best interest, after all.

Wishing you all the best and good luck,

The tall oven has stopped heating up even though the fan and light still work, any idea, are there fuses fitted within the cooker?

Probably the element has failed. If it is a fan oven, the element is around the fan at the back of the oven. You take the covering plate off, and then remove the element usually attached with a couple of screws. Turn power off first!
Check continuity of element with a voltmeter. If it has failed, they are usually available on-line

If there are other touch switches that are not responding, then the fan failure might not be your problem. If might just be the electronic control board itself. Before you speak of 'fan failure' check the board to see it it is responsive.
The clock will always work even with fan failure.
Check all the wires and harnesses to the control board...unplug and replug them back in.
What is a 'fan element?'

Cooker power has gone.

has it come back on? if not it may be a connection going into the back of the cooker or if it has come back on it may be an overheat stat kicking in -check the blower (cooling) fan is ok.

the fan element would have blown. it is not uncommon for an element to trip an rcd when it blows. you are on the right track, if you replace the element all your problems should go away
