Question about Dell Dimension 3000 PC Desktop
Dell computer. I have no response from the monitor, mouse and keyboard. Switched them all to another computer and they operator. Could this be a dead motherboard or dead hard drive. Unable to switch out hard drive because of it being a different type of pin connection. I think it's the product that i had to chose from the product listing.
Definitely a "faulty" motherboard. If fans on PC do not turn, no lights come on and dead screen.
If lights come on, and fans turn, try to reset the BIOS by removing your CMOS (and setting the jumper to clear for about 5 minutes, then put the jumper to normal again) battery for 5 minutes.
Sometimes the bios just "stuffs" up and you'll get no response from your pc at all. So all you do is "CLEAR THE CMOS/BIOS"
