SOME REFRIGERATORS HAVE A CUP IN THE BACK OF THE FRESH FOOD COMPARTMENT THAT CATCHES THE WATER AS IT COMES FROM THE FREEZER AND SENDS IT DOWN THE DRAIN TUBE INTO THE DRAIN PAN. IF THE DRAIN TUBE OR CUP GETS A RESTRICTION IN IT, IT WILL OVERFLOW AND BRING WATER INTO THE REFRIGERATOR. CHECK THE CUP AND DRAIN TUBE FOR RESTRICTION.

SOME REFRIGERATORS HAVE THE DRAIN TUBE BUILTIN TO THE WALLS OF THE REFRIGERATOR, BUT THE HOLE IN THE FREEZER IS SMALL AND FREEZES OVER. WHEN THE DEFROST CYCLE COMES ON, THERE IS A BUILDUP OF ICE THAT CAUSES THE WATER TO FALL DOWN THROUGH THE AIR DUCT INTO THE FRESH FOOD COMPARTMENT. YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE BACK WALL OF THE FREEZER AND SEE IF AN ICE BUILDUP UNDER THE COILS IS PRESENT. THEN, REMOVE THE ICE, CLEAR THE DRAIN HOLE, AND SEE IF WATER WILL PASS THROUGH THE DRAIN. A FIX TO PREVENT FREEZEOVER FROM REOCCURING, IS TAKE A PIECE OF BARE COPPER WIRE AND WRAP AROUND THE DEFROST HEATER AND PASS IT DOWN THE DRAIN HOLE (ABOUT FIVE INCHES WILL DO).
WHEN THE DEFROST HEATER COMES ON, IT WILL PASS HEAT DOWN THE WIRE TO KEEP THE DRAIN HOLE FROM FREEZING UP.

A temporary solution is to remove all frozen food, ice tray, shelf and bottom plate. you will see the water drain trench and a drain hole in the back center of the freezer. Unplug the drain, free it from ice or debris and flush with hot water. I have the same problem with my frig. This is not a permeant fix, but it will stop water from dripping through the vent ports The defroster may be defective or the air flow is too restricted. Good luck.

Water dripping into the refrigerator area from the freezer

Means you have a clogged or iced drain. Remove rear panel in the freezer and pour hot boiling water into drain. Inspect to ensure it is not iced. Keep pouring hot boiling water into drain until it opens and starts to drain. Be sure to put towels on top shelves in refrigerator to catch water, then dry completely.

During the defrost cycle heaters inside the walls of the freezer turn on to melt the frost. The melted frost "water" is supposed to drain into a pan under the fridge where it will evaporate. I think the drain line from the freezer to this pan may be blocked. I'd also check the seal on the freezer door. If it's not sealing well it lets a lot of moisture into the freezer which means more water during the defrost cycle. I'd also recommend checking to make sure the ice maker is not leaking.

Water draining under crisper bins & onto shelves. Try again

Your drain tube is stopped up. Take the panel off in the freezer section and chip away the ice in the pan below the coil. When you get to the drain hole pour hot water in it until it free flows. You will need a towel in the freezer to catch the excess water. Run some extra hot water through it to assure that you clean the drain out good.

Water collecting in refrigerator and ice collecting in freezer

sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you access to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somewhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wire around the heater( black heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now every time the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over
